14 elevators with capacity of 400000 tons are built in Kazakhstan

During the last two years Kazakhstan is actively working in order to create the proper infrastructure for grain storage, reported IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
All necessary works have been done in order to avoid the same situation that occurred last year. To the present moment, 14 elevators are built in the republic which can store about 400 thousand tons of grain.
About 9 mln. tenge was allocated for construction of new elevators and for modernization of already existing. 
Gross yield of grain in Kazakhstan in 2010 will be about 16 mln. tons. After cleaning, it will be 14 million plus 7 million tons of carryover stocks. Thus, the country will have a resource of 21 million tons of grain. It will allow exporting about 8 million tons. 
With a high grain price farmers will gain more than in previous years, and will new equipment to begin preparations for the new planting season”, – said Nursultan Nazarbayev during the meeting with farmers in the North-Kazakhstan region on Tuesday, August 24, the Kyzylzharskyi district.
