About 145 thousand tons of Kazakh grain is transshipped through the “Ak Biday-Terminal»

In the first four months of the current year JSC “Ak Biday-Terminal” (subsidiary of JSC “NC” Food Corporation “) has transshipped about 145 thousand tons of grain through a grain terminal in the port of Aktau.

We recall, as previously reported the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” in the port of Aktau in the northern direction three cargo terminals with a capacity of 3 million tons per year are under construction, including one cargo terminal with capacity of 1.5 million tons of grain a year; two terminals for general and container cargoes with capacity of 1.5 million tons per year.

Thus, the existing capacity of Aktau port will increase from 18 to 21 million tons of cargo transshipment.

It should be noted, in 2014 682 thousand tons of Kazakh grain was transshipped by the Ak Biday-Terminal. This is record-breaking performance.

In 2010, it was transshipped 404 000 tons of grain, in 2011 – almost 308 thousand tons of grain (compared with 2010, the volume of shipments fell by 24%). At the end of 2012, grain transshipment through “Ak Biday-Terminal” was 557 655 tons (almost 2 times more than earlier). In January-December 2013 through the port of Aktau were shipped 527,000 tons of grain (30 thousand tons less).
