Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan, has received Minister of Agriculture Assylzhan Mamytbekov in the Akorda residence today, the president’s press service reports.
Current situation in the agricultural sector and the implementation of the Agrobusiness-2020 State Program were in the focus of Minister Mamytbekov’s report during the meeting.
The Head of State urged the minister to organize effective harvesting campaign.
“In the southern provinces of the country the harvesting time is coming to an end. Nearly one million tons of grain have already been harvested. Heavy rainfalls have dramatically improved the complicated situation with grain crop in the northern parts of the country. So, it is necessary to monitor the harvesting technology and take into account different time frames of grain aging,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
A. Mamytbekov also lauded positive dynamics in the development of agricultural industry.
President Nazarbayev used the occasion to instruct the Agriculture Ministry on timely harvesting campaign-2013 and raising the competitiveness of the agricultural enterprises, reported the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” with the reference to “Kazinform”.
