Participants of the grain market of Astana city, as of October 1, 2016 had about 63,951 tons of food grain, reported in the capital department of statistics.
The main cereal crop for food is wheat (99.7% of the total food grain).
The greatest amount of grain for food (85.8%) is concentrated at the elevators of the city. In the capital flour mills 5,476 tons of wheat was available for processing.
It should be noted, according to the monitoring prepared by the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, at the beginning of the month in the city of Astana, wheat of 3-grade could be bought at 47,400 tenge per ton. Flour of 1st grade in the capital was sold at 84,200 tenge per ton, the extra-class – at 86,700 tenge per ton. Flour of 2nd grade in the markets was sold at 80,100 tenge per ton.
