The final meeting was held in KazNAU yesterday to discuss the results of the Chinese experts’ assessment of the control of food safety and inspection of Kazakh enterprises that produce lamb.
It should be noted that the experts of the Main Directorate for Quality Control and Quarantine and the Main Directorate for Accreditation Certification of the People’s Republic of China worked from April 19 to 27.
Chinese experts inspected the enterprises that produce lamb in Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda and Kostanay regions, which are included in the zone free from foot and mouth disease without vaccination, reports the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
As noted in the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh side was presented with the Kazakh system of control of mutton safety at all levels of its work.
Also, the Kazakh and Chinese sides agreed on a draft Protocol on Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary and Sanitary Requirements for frozen meats of small cattle exported from Kazakhstan to the PRC.
This inspection is one of the most important procedures for obtaining access of the Kazakh mutton to the Chinese market.
