In Kazakhstan, at the beginning of 2013, according to the Statistics Agency of the Republic, there are 5 million 668.5 thousand heads of cattle. During 21 years this figure fell by 4 million heads, wrote the correspondent of IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
Since independence, on a reported basis, at the end of each year the number of cattle in Kazakhstan was slowly declining. A small increase in the growth of herd was observed from 2000 to 2010 years.
Then, in late 1999, the country had 3 million 998.2 thousand heads of cattle. For 11 years the number has increased by more than 2 million, and amounted to 6 million 175.3 thousand heads.
However, then again was observed a decline. In late 2011, the number of cattle in the country dropped to 5.7 million heads, and 2012 ended with the figure of 5.6 million heads.
