Consumer price index in the East Kazakhstan region, which characterizes the rate of inflation, according to regional statistics office data, in November, 2013 was 100.6% compared to the previous month, and in comparison with December, 2012 – 103.7%.

Thus, among the foodstuffs in November compared with October, the statistics fixed price increases for semolina , pasta – by 1.2%, pearl barley groats – 1.5%, bread from top-grade flour – 2.3% , waffles , apples – by 2.0%, cereals and canned fish (non-gourmet) – by 1.4% , cakes and chicken legs – by 0.8 %, sausages – by 2.4%, dumplings – by 2.2%, fresh fish – by 1.6%, salted and smoked (non-gourmet) – by 3.5% , raw milk – by 7.1% , sour cream -by 3.4% , cottage cheese – by 1.6%, rennet cheese- by 3.7%, eggs – by 20.1%, butter – by 2.7%, vegetable- cream (spread) – by 1.1% , margarine – by 1.9%, beet – by 7% , cucumbers – by 5% , tomatoes – by 5.5%, cigarettes – by 2.4%.

A decrease in prices for buckwheat and carrot amounted to 2.3%, onion – by 1.8%, potatoes – by 2.6%.

“Compared with the same month last year in the region is observed slowing of inflation”, said the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, referring to the data of statistics office.
