Inflation in Almaty, according to statistics, in January, 2013 was 0.4%.
Prices and tariffs for paid services increased by 0.6%, food products – by 0.3%, non-food products – by 0.2%.
The main influence on the price increase in the group of food products in January this year had an pricr rise of fresh vegetables – by 2.8%, with tomatoes rose by 9.6%, cucumbers – by 4.4%, cabbage – by 3.9%, potatoes – by 2.8%, carrot – by 2.5%, beet – by 2%.
As noted in the statistics office, in January this year flour became more expensive by 1.1%, due to higher prices for flour of first-rate by 1.9%, pasta rose by 0.5%, fish and seafood – by 0.2%, prices for meat products remained at the same level as last month.
As it became known to the reporters of IA “Kazakh-Zerno” in the course of monitoring, in the last day in January in the southern capital of Kazakhstan wheat of 3 class was sold for 47,600 ($ 315.5) tenge per ton. Flour of extra-class in Almaty cost 68,800 tenge per ton ($ 456.02), first-rate and second–rate was offered at 66,300 ($ 439.45) and 62,200 tenge per ton ($ 412.28), respectively.
During last month dairy products rose by 0.4%, while milk – by 1.2%, sour cream – by 0.9%, cream powder – by 0.8%, fermented baked milk – by 0.7%, cottage cheese – by 0.5%, cream powder and kefir – by 0.3% each.
Statistics fixed price rise for oil and fats by 0.2%, including olive oil – by 1.2%, margarine – 0.9%, sunflower oil – by 0.2%. Over the past month increase in prices of alcoholic beverages by 0.6%.
The cost of rice and sugar has not changed.
