For the first six months output of agricultural products in North Kazakhstan increased by 5.6%

The volume of agricultural output in the North Kazakhstan region increased by 5.6% and amounted to 36.3 billion tenge for the first six months of the current year. According to this index, the region takes the 3rd place in Kazakhstan.

These figures were announced during an operational meeting, where were discussed the results of social and economic development of areas and the city of Petropavlovsk for the 1st half of 2015.

The number of cattle grew by 6.9%, sheep and goats – by 7%, horses – by 4.5%, poultry – by 6.7%. As a result production of meat (live weight) increased by 1%, milk – by 6.8%, eggs – by 18.2%, reports the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.

As noted by the Acting Head of Economy Department Aigul Khasenova, production output growth is ensured by all districts of the region and the city of Petropavlovsk.
