According to the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan, inflation in the country in April this year amounted to 0.1% compared with the previous month.
“Foodstuffs prices in the past month increased by 0.3%, nonfood goods – by 0.2%, and paid services – decreased by 0.1%,” said in a statement.
According to the Committee on Statistics, since the beginning of 2015 (April 2015 compared to December 2014) inflation stood at 1.2%, in annual terms (April 2015 compared to April 2014) – 4.6%.
In the past month price increase was observed for fresh vegetables by 7%, grapes – by 5.5%, olive oil – by 3.6%, dried fruit and nuts – by 1.7%, alcoholic beverages – by 1.6%, baby food – by 1.2%, canned fish non-gourmet – by 0.8%, confectionery products – by 0.6%, bakeries and pastry, sausages – by 0.5%, premium white bread, cottage cheese – by 0, 4%, reported the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”. Reduction in prices was fixed for eggs by 2.4%, sugar – by 2%, poultry meat- by 1.6%, vegetable oil, butter – by 1.3%, sunflower oil – by 1.2%, rice – by 1.1%, cereals – by 0.9%, raw milk – by 0.7%.
