Food prices in August in Astana decreased in price by 0.7%, non-food products increased by 0.3%, paid services – by 0.1%.

Of cereal products, buckwheat grew in price by 3.3%, semolina – by 1.5%, oats – by 0.5%. Of fruits and vegetables, cucumbers fell in price by 14.9%, onion – by 9.4%, white cabbage – by 9.2%, potatoes – by 7.7%, carrot – by 7.4%, beet – by 7.3%, tomatoes – 5.1%, grapes – by 4.0%, apples – by 2.7%, pears – by 2.2%.
According to the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, on August 16, in the capital, wheat of 3 class can be purchased for 31,800 tenge per ton. First-rate flour in the capital was sold at 50,000 tenge per ton ($ 325.42), the top- grade – at 52,400 tenge per ton ($ 341.04). The second-rate flour in the markets cost 46,300 tenge per ton ($ 303).
