In January foodstuffs in Kazakhstan grew in price by 5.3% – Statistics In Kazakhstan, the food prices in January, 2013 compared to January, 2012 rose by 5.3%, reported the Statistics Agency, on Friday.
“In January, 2013 compared with the corresponding month in 2012, flour prices rose by 10.5%, pasta – by 8.6%, fruit and vegetables – by 6.8%, coffee, tea and cocoa – 5, 6%, bakery and pastry products – by 5.4%, fish and seafood – by 5.2%, alcoholic beverages – by 4.8%, confectionery products – by 4.5%, dairy products – by 3.6% , bread – by 2.5%, oils and fats – by 0.7%. The decrease in prices for groats was by 24.1%, sugar – by 0.2%”, noted statisticians.
As previously wrote IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, as of mid-January in Kazakhstan was observed as increase in prices in the market of cash sales of grain. During the first half of January the price of wheat of 3 class and higher reported an increase, and in the regions formed a positive trend in the amount of 500-800 tenge per ton.
According to the Statistics Agency, the increase in the prices of meat and meat products for the mentioned period was 8.1%. Level of prices for pork was up by 10.5%, mutton – by 9.9%, horse meat – by 9.7%, beef – by 9.4%, poultry meat – by 5.2%, meat products – by 4.5%.
