In Almaty in May cabbage, onions, potatoes and bread significantly rose in price; meanwhile price tags on meat products, tomatoes and cucumbers decreased.
In May versus April, according to the department of statistics of Almaty, was observed an increase in the price of white cabbage – by 26.4%, onion – by 19.1%, gingerbread – by 17.6%, potatoes – by 14%, fruits – from 1.6 to 11.3%, bread – from 5.8 to 8.4%, dairy products – from 0.5 to 6.5%, beet – by 4.4%, meat products – from 1.8 to 4.1%, cereals – from 1.5 to 3%, sunflower oil and butter – 2.1 and 2.4%, respectively, carrots – by 1.9%.
Price declines were fixed for cucumbers – by 1.5 times, tomatoes – by 23.1%, garlic – by 20.8%, sugar – by 4.8%, meat products – from 1.8 to 3.5%, eggs – by 0.8%, said the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
