In the consumer market of the West Kazakhstan region prices of goods and services in March 2014 compared to December 2013 increased by 2.3%.
According to local statistics, in January – March of the current year food price index was 102.7%. Prices for cheese and cottage cheese increased by 1.8%, dairy products – by 2.2%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate, confectionery products – by 5.5%, bakery and pastry products – by 4.3%, tobacco products – by 11.7%. Egg prices fell by 18.3%, buckwheat – by 4.8%.
Fruit prices rose by 3.1%, vegetables – by 23.9%, including onions – 35.8%, white cabbage – by 32.7%, beet – by 7.2%, carrot – by 5.3%, cucumbers and tomatoes by 16% and 15.3%, respectively. Potatoes rose by 53%.
In the region in comparison with other regions of Kazakhstan have developed minimum prices for first-rate wheat flour, rye-wheat bread, white bread of top-grade flour, noodles, cottage cheese, cheese rennet, beef, mutton, horse meat, chicken, beets, apples, black tea, yeast, dried apricots, oranges, lemons, noted the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
