Japanese officials to inspect Philippine meat plants

Новость на Казах-зерно:

Japanese quarantine officials will visit the Philippines in the first week of March to inspect and accredit meat processing plants for possible pork exports to Japan, Philippine Department of Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala said.

He added that the officials will visit Mindanao and two other sites in Luzon where there are AAA (or export standard) meat slaughtering and processing facilities.

The Philippines, led by San Miguel Food Inc, has been exporting chicken products to Japan since 2004, and Mr Alcala expects that the Philippine facilities will meet the strict Japanese standards and requirements to enable the country to export pork products to Japan as well.
