In June 2013, the average nominal wage per employee in Kazakhstan, according to the Agency for Statistics, was 109,970 tenge. Index of nominal wages compared with June 2012, was 104.8%, the real – 99.0%.
In the sectoral structure the highest salary was fixed in professional, scientific and technical activities – 199.4 thousand tenge, in mining and quarrying – 197.7 thousand (1.8 times higher than the average levelin the country) and in the financial and insurance operations – 185.7 thousand (1.7 times).
The lowest wages have workers in agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 61.5 thousand tenge, which is 44.1% less than the national average, said the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
As noted in the Statistics Agency of the Republic, at the regional level, the highest salary is paid in the Atyrau region – 186.8 thousand tenge, which is 1.7 times higher than the average national rate. In the North-Kazakhstan region its value amounted to 77.1 thousand tenge, which is 29.9% below the national average.
