Farmers are trying to predict and adjust to the whims of nature, and this year an agronomist of the LLP “Pervomayskoye” can boast with his luck.
“We all know that the main summer precipitation in Kazakhstan account for July. So we try to adjust to this weather regime and hold sowing in the second half of May. As a result – fields of the last sowing are almost perfect”, said in a telephone interview with the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” agronomist Vladimir Wolf.
In the general fields of the partnership do not cause anxiety in the agronomist, so there is nothing to complain about as for now, recognized interlocutor. But they rightly say do not count your chickens before they are hatched, so Vladimir fears to predict the size of future harvest.
“How much we can get – I will not even tell about this”, said the agronomist.
In the past year, despite the abnormal heat, field of the household have the potential of 8-9 q/ ha. But before farmers rejoice, strong hail sharply cut specific yields. “Everything foreshow the big harvest, and eventually they received only 5 q/ha. We will not outstrip this year’s event, calling even the approximate yield. We can say one thing – so far everything is good”, summed up Vladimir.
