Local buyers and grain producers confirm that wheat of 3 class in the region diverges at prices in the range of 23-28 thousand tenge per ton, which annoys traders very much.
One of the local companies purchases new grain at a price starting from 23 thousand tenge per ton and above. The price is set according to the quality of grain. Other company acquires wheat at 24 to 28 thousand tenge.
The lack of specific sums creates a mess in the grain market; this opinion was expressed in an interview with the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, by the following respondent, who requested not to disclose his name. The company, in which he works, as of today does not make any purchasing or selling of the new wheat crop.
“We do not buy or sell wheat at the moment. Some kind of a mess is going on with prices, everyone has a different price. Somewhere it costs several thousand more, somewhere less. And the Food Corporation also announced the price, but it does not purchase. Some adapt to the advertised prices, others are still bend their line”, said the source.
We recall, grain harvesting in the region at the end of last week, according to the Ministry of Agriculture figures, was completed by 94.3 %; the harvest amounted to 4.8 million tons.
