Almaty farmers started the current week with the announcement of the completion of the rice harvest. The sown area this year accounts 14,168 hectares, the correspondent of IA “Kazakh-Zerno” reports.
Staff of the regional agricultural department assured that the current levels of the rice crop are equal to the last year’s. This year, farmers got about 59 thousand tons of rice.
We remind, the harvest of wheat, barley, millet, and oats in the current agricultural year was 629,328 tons.
