Over the past weekend the bins of Almaty residents filled with about 54 thousand tons of grain from the harvest -2013. Execution of the harvest plan by local farmers was brought to 76%. Gross harvest of the new grain today is 637.4 thousand tons, wrote the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
The indicator of harvest on September 16 exceeds the level of 2012 by nearly 81 thousand tons. This is indicated by situation reports of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Grain yields in the region has increased to 19 q / ha, compared with 17 last year. At that time, the gross grain harvest approached to 556.2 thousand tons.
Growers have covered about 338 thousand hectares with harvesting of cereal crops. According to last year data, at the same period the harvesting campaign was completed by 75.4%.
