Kazakhstan: Cucumbers rose in price by 7.8% in Karaganda region

Inflation in Karaganda region in January amounted to 0.2%, according to the statistics department. Food prices went up 0.4% in a month, non-food products – 0.1%, paid services – 0.1%.

In particular, as indicated in the statistical report, the growth of prices for food products in January of this year was influenced by the growth of prices for cucumbers – by 7.8%, onion – by 4.2%, tomatoes – by 3.5%, the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” reports.

Millet rose by 3.1% on the counters of Karaganda, carrot – by 3%, oatmeal – by 2.5%, potato – by 2.1%, cabbage – by 1.8%.

Prices for buckwheat decreased by 8.3%, sugar – by 3%, pearl barley – by 2%.

Tobacco products went up by 3.3%.

In the group of non-food products, diesel fuel and gasoline fell by 0.9% and 0.6%, respectively.
