In January-April this year in all categories of farms Zhambyl for slaughter was sold 25.9 thousand tons of cattle and poultry in live weight, or 107.1% compared with the level of this period last year.
According to the regional statistics office, gross milk production increased by 662 tons (1%) and amounted to 69.5 thousand tons. Egg production compared with the last year decreased by 1,635 thousand pieces (by 5.8%), informed the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
In January-April 2014 the average milk yield per cow from dairy herd totaled 651 kg, the average yield of eggs – 37 pieces per laying hen.
As of May 1, 2014 compared with the same period last year, the number of cattle in farms in the region increased by 1% (by 3.5 thousand), sheep and goats – by 0.9% (28.5 thousand heads), horses – by 3.5% (3.5 thousand heads), camels – by 3% (0.2 thousand heads), and poultry number decreased by 1.7% (21.3 thousand).
During this period, the region received 86.5 thousand calves, 1,029 thousand lambs and kids, 27 thousand pigs.
In the farms of the region in January-April 2014 fell 65 heads of cattle (24.8% compared with the previous year), 20 pigs (15.5%), 4501 sheep and goats (112.6%.), 26 horses (18.7%).
In the production of basic livestock products the prevalent part accounted for private farms of the population, which produced 74.5% of meat, 88.7% of milk, 64.4% of eggs, said statisticians.
The volume of gross agricultural output in January-April 2014 across the area in current prices amounted to 23,250 million tenge.
