According to the results of the year 2017, Kazakhstan exported 4.9 million tons of grain crops, which is 7% higher than in 2016. According to the data of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, for the last year shipments of Kazakhstani wheat increased to 3.9 million tons against 3.8 million tons in 2016. Barley exports reached 897,000 tons (+ 25 percent to the figure of 2016).
We recall, as previously informed the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, with an average yield of 14.4 q / ha in 2017, grain growers of the country received 22,094 thousand tons of grain. The largest volume of grain in the season-2017 was brought by the North-Kazakhstan region, where farmers threshed 5 million 627.5 thousand tons. Next is Kostanay region with a result of 5 million 225.3 thousand tons. Akmola region closes the top three – 5 million 123.9 thousand tons.
According to the data of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, according to the results of December 2017, exports of cereals from the country amounted to 709 thousand tons, which is the maximum monthly indicator for the last 5 years.
In the structure of grain exports, wheat traditionally leads following the results of the reporting month. So, in December 2017 Kazakhstan shipped 520 thousand tons of this grain to foreign markets. The leaders among buyers of Kazakhstani wheat were Uzbekistan (231 thousand tons) and Tajikistan (112 thousand tons).
It stands to mention the monthly maximum of export shipments of barley reached in December – 175.8 thousand tons. By the way, almost the entire volume of grain (98%) was delivered to Iran.
