In Kostanai region the grain harvest is almost finished. As of September.16, local farmers have harvested 99.1% of the total area of grain, reported IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
The total area reserved for grain planting in the region is 4 million 273 thousand hectares. The average yield is 8.1 tons per hectare.
Eight districts of the region have already completed the harvesting campaign.
According to preliminary data, harvest will be finished till Monday.
As it was previously reported, last year production of grains in Kostanai region was 5429.5 tons. The average yield was 12.2 tons per hectare.
