Kazakhstan: Flour has risen in price on the shelves of Aktobe shops

In the consumer market of Aktobe region CPI for March was 100.8% (in the corresponding period of the previous year- 99.4%).

According to observations of the regional statistics office, last month a price increase in average across the area was marked for flour – by 1.6%, bread from top-grade wheat flour – by 10.6%, pasta – by 1.5%, bakeries and pastry – 0.7%.

It should be noted, according to the monitoring conducted by the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, at the end of the month flour of top-grade, first- and second-grades was sold for 63,100 ($346.52), 59,500 ($326.75) and 57,200 tenge per ton ($ 314.12), wheat of 3 class cost 39,300 tenge ($215.82).

Fresh milk on the shelves of Aktobe shops in March rose in price by 1.3%, canned milk – by 1.5%, cheese – 1.7%, fresh vegetables – by 6.4%, fresh fruit – by 1.3%, potatoes – by 13.0 %, sugar – by 7.7%, spices – by 0.9%, coffee, tea, cocoa – by 1.0%, tobacco products – by 3.4%, mineral water – 1.5%. Price declines were recorded for sunflower oil – by 2.5%, eggs – by 0.4%.
