Kazakhstan: Foodstuffs on the counters of Zhambyl rose in price by more than 1%

Inflation in Zhambyl region in January 2016 amounted to 0.8%. As noted in the regional statistics department, food prices rose by 1.1%, non-food products – by 0.9%, prices and tariffs for paid services – by 0.3%.

In January, statisticians fixed an increase in prices for eggs by 9.4%, bread – by 8%, fresh vegetables – by 2.5%, oils and fats – by 2%, cereals, sugar – by 1.9%, tobacco products – by 1.2%, dairy products – by 0.7%, fish and seafood – by 0.6%, non-alcoholic beverages – by 0.5%, confectionery products – by 0.4%, meat and poultry – by 0.3 %, flour – by 0.2%, fresh fruit, potatoes, alcoholic beverages – by 0.1%.

It should be noted, according to monitoring prepared by the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, at the end of this month, wheat of 3 class in Zhambyl region was sold at 52,900 tenge per ton, and barley of 2 class – at 39,300 tenge per ton. Flour of extra-class in the region can be purchased at 78,400 tenge, first-grade is sold at 77,400 tenge, second-grade – at 75,100 tenge per ton.
