In Kazakhstan food prices in June 2013 compared with June 2012 increased by 4.5%, informed the Statistics Agency.
Thus, in June 2013 compared with the corresponding month in 2012 the price of flour rose by 16.3%, fruits and vegetables – by 12.4%, pasta – by 11.5%, bakery and pastry products – 5% , fish and seafood – by 4.6%, coffee, tea and cocoa – by 4.4%, oils and fats – by 4.1%, alcoholic beverages – by 4%, dairy products – by 3.9%, confectionery products – by 3.2%, bread – by 1.7%, said the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
According to the statisticians decline in prices was observed on cereals – by 10.4%, sugar – by 6.6%.
The prices for meat and meat products during this period increased by 3.3%. The level of prices for mutton was up by 4.4%, meat products – by 4.2%, horse meat – by 3.9%, pork – by 3.2%, beef, poultry – by 2.6%.
