Kazakhstan: Grain yield in Zhambyl region is twice higher than in 2012

The harvesting campaign in the region covered about 212.1 thousand hectares of local farmland. The average grain yield in the area is 18.4 q / ha, which is more than two times higher than last year, wrote the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.

According to the summary of the regional department of agriculture, the average grain yield for the same period last year was at around 8.9 q / ha, and the thresh was 163.4 thousand tons.

As of today, grain growers harvested 390.4 thousand tons of new grain. Harvest plan in the region is performed by 94%.

We recall that in 2012, as a result of harvesting of winter wheat and spring crops about 201 thousand tons were put into the regional reserve of the country.
