According to the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, slaughtering of all types of livestock and poultry for the past month was about 102.2 thousand tons. The data show that this figure is slightly higher than last year, writes the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
Number of cattle and poultry slaughtered at farms of the country or sold for slaughter in live weight for the same period in 2013 in the republic was 99.7 thousand tons.
Leaders in this field were Almaty breeders. There last month were slaughtered and sold in live weight about 17.8 thousand tons. While last year the figure in the region was lower by 2.6 thousand.
We recall, for 2013 the number of slaughtered and sold livestock and poultry was close to 1648.5 thousand tons. During the first two months of this year, the figure approached the level at 211.5 thousand tons.
