As of October 1, the number of cattle in the region was 401 thousand heads; there is some growth; the same trend of growth was fixed with cows, horses and sheep, writes the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”. This was announced by the 1st Deputy of the Akim of Kostanay region Eugene Aman.
“Reduction was fixed by 7.7% in pigs and poultry number, which affects the backlog from last year for the production of meat and eggs. It was produced 103.2 thousand tons of meat in live weight, with a reduction of 8.6 thousand tons. A decline of 7.7%, milk – 298 thousand tons with an increase of 6.5 thousand tons, an increase of 2.2%, eggs -364.7 million pieces – a decline of 10.7 %”, he said.
According to him, the dynamics of population growth is due to an increase in the manufacturing sector. In this case, the potential of the livestock industry is huge. Here, as the saying goes, is an “untilled field of work.”
“We need to motivate large and medium-sized businesses to build in the village meat and dairy farms and to purchase cattle. It is necessary to involve in this private households, transforming them into farms, and then they get possibility to subsidize the cheaper products, micro-credit and leasing. In this case there are a lot of problems – often lack collateral, land. In each case, they must be addressed and resolved. Starting the next year, will come into force provision of the Law on the possibility of insurance and guarantee of loans for rural businesses. This should help to increase the number of borrowers and give them access to the financial resources of banks and “Kazagro” offices, concluded E.Aman.
