According to the press service of akim of Pavlodar region, experts predict crop yields in melon growers’ farms of Lebyazhinsky district more than two times higher than last year.
Experts predict the harvest of around 250-300 quintals per hectare, writes the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
For example, in the farm “Kairat” are grown 36 varieties of watermelons and eight varieties of melons – half of them are imported from Ukraine and Russia. There is no such assortment of melons in any other farm of the country.
Soon Pavlodar producers will be able to appreciate the taste of Lebyazhinsky watermelons – their season started in August.
