Kazakhstan, International Office of Epizootics to cooperate in veterinary sphere

Kazakhstan and the International Office of Epizootics will cooperate in protection of animals’ health, prevention and control over diseases using the warning system to inform people about animal health, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports.

The agreement on cooperation was signed by Director General of the World Organization for Animal Health (International Office of Epizootics), Dr. Bernard Vallat and Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Asylzhan Mamytbekov today.

The sides will cooperate in improvement of veterinary legislation of Kazakhstan, protection of health of animals, prevention and control over diseases using the warning system to inform people about animal health.

Besides, the sides will partner in the sphere of control over private veterinary and promote establishment of a state veterinary body with an opportunity to use bilateral OIE program and veterinary education.

The main provisions of the agreements are aimed at improvement of veterinary system of the country through bringing it into compliance with the OIE standards, the press service of the Ministry reports.
