In Kostanay region currently sowing of crops is carried out on 872 thousand hectares, or on 19% of the spring sowing area – 4,669.2 thousand hectares, including grain crops -733 thousand hectares, oilseeds – 77 thousand ha.
Districts received a daily task for planting crops in the amount of 285 thousand hectares, with the purpose to finish sowing campaign by June 1 of the current year, reported in the akimat of the region.
Also in the agricultural formations and farm households of the population planting of potatoes is carried out on the acreage of 7.8 thousand hectares (80% of the planned area of 9.8 ha.), vegetables – on 1.8 thousand hectares (75% of the planned area of 2.4 thousand. ha).
“Agricultural producers of the region are fully provided with seed material, with the need of 552.5 thousand tons they have 553.5 thousand tons, including seeds of I-II class in the amount of 423 thousand tons, or 78% (previous year 72%)”, was said in the message.
In the sowing campaign this year participate about 25 thousand tractors (of which 5.8 thousand units are energy-packed), 24 thousand seeders, 792 sowing complexes, more than 1 thousand sprayers, 8400 trucks and other machinery.
We recall, as previously reported the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, last year from the harvesting area of 4 million 18.3 thousand hectares with the average yield of 12.4 q/ ha kostanay farmers obtained 4 million 999.7 thousand tons of grain.
