Kazakhstan: Last year wheat rose in price by 47% – Statistics

For the 2012 plant growing products, realized by agricultural enterprises of Kazakhstan, became more expensive by 34.1%, animal products – by 5.7%.

Thus, according to the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, during the past year the price of wheat increased by 47%, barley – by 23.7%, maize – by 10.3%, oats – by 4.9%, millet – by 2% and buckwheat decreased by 7.8%, rye – by 5%.

Carrot increased by 16.4%, beet – by 10.9%, cabbage – by 6.3%. Potato prices have fallen by 1.4%, onion – 1%. The prices for sugar beet grew by 13.7%, grapes – by 10%, fruit and berries – by 8.9%. Tobacco prices fell by 37.5%, cotton – by 7.1%, sunflower seeds – by 6.8%, reported the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
