“The longer drought lasts the more harvest problems it may cause,” – agriculture minister Asylzhan Mamybekov said at the conference themed – “Veterinary safety – basis for cattle breeding steady development” underway in Astana.
“Some of the regions have problems though the forecast is that Kazakhstan will gather long-time annual average harvest, i.e. 14 mln tons at the average crop yield up to 8.7 centners per hectare,” – the minister added.
