Harvest of crops, as of today, covers 222.5 thousand hectares that is 37% of the plan. Last year at the same date farmers have removed 390 thousand hectares – 85%. At the same time, grind for today is 274.8 thousand tons (191.5 in 2012).
Harvesting campaign began in the region later than usual, and the pace of the harvest lags behind that of 2012, but, as the above figures show, despite this, the level of production is much higher, wrote the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
Cereal yield in the fields of Pavlodar region is still 2.5 times higher than last year. In 2012, growers received an average of 4.9 quintals per hectare of land, now they are gathering more than 12 quintals.
We recall that the harvested area in the Pavlodar region is 601.3 thousand hectares, which is about 142 thousand hectares more than in the previous year.
