Kazakhstan: Products on shelves of Aktobe shops rose by 2.7% during the year – Statistics

“In November, 2013 compared with the corresponding month in 2012 prices in the Aktobe region decreased for cereals – by 10.6%, fresh vegetables – by 10.1%, wheat flour highest grade – by 12.9%, sunflower oil – by 3.9 %, sugar – by 1.3%”, was said in the report of the regional department of statistics.

It should be noted, according to monitoring conducted by staff reporter of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, at the end of November wheat of 3 class cost 32,700 ($ 213.32), top-grade, first- and second-rate flour was sold for 57,500 ($ 375.11) , 52900 ($ 345.1) and 50,600 tenge per ton ($ 330.09).

Increase in prices was observed on tobacco products – by 17.2%, bakery and pastry products – by 3.5%, mineral water, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices –by 5.0%, butter – by 4.2%, fish and seafood – by 4.4% , dairy products – by 7.1 %, pasta – by 9.6%, vegetables – by 2.3%, confectionery products – by 2.0%, alcoholic beverages –2. 2%, coffee, tea and cocoa – by 4.6 %, bread – by 3.8%.

According to statistics, the increase in prices for meat and meat products during this period amounted to 0.1%. Level of prices for mutton grew by 1.4%, poultry meat – by 0.6%, sausages, meat products – by 2.3%, but for beef lowered- by 1.4%.

Overall, food prices in November this year compared to the same month last year increased by 2.7%.
