The violations were detected when importing quarantine products from the EEA member states and from third countries, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs.
As indicated in the message of the department, during the period April 14-28 during the inspection of quarantine products of high phytosanitary risk 39 facts of violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Eurasian Economic Union in the field of plant quarantine were revealed.
The products were imported to the territory of the republic without mandatory accompaniment by a phytosanitary certificate from the Russian Federation (48,426 tons of vegetables and fruits, 67.6 tons of rice, 29 kilograms of vegetable and flower crops, 2000 pieces of seedlings, 47 cubic meters of lumber), from the Kyrgyz Republic (Cabbage 48 tons, carrots 20 tons).
In addition, in 20 tons of Russian potatoes there was revealed a quarantine object – a golden potato nematode, reports the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
Quarantine products are returned to the territory of exporting countries.
