Landowners in southern regions of Kazakhstan are carrying out sowing. Thus, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of April 4 in the country sowing of spring cereal grains is carried out on 41.2% of the area, or 69.1 thousand hectares, oilseeds are sown on 28.8 thousand hectares (14.9%), perennial grasses – 30.1% of the area (28.9 th. ha).
We recall, as previously wrote the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, sown area in Kazakhstan this year will be approximately 21.8 million hectares, which is 1.5% more than in 2013, including under grain – about 15.9 million hectares, oilseeds – 2 million hectares, fodder – 3.4 million hectares, melons and potatoes – 410 thousand hectares. Almost for all types of crops it is planned to increase the area of sowing: oilseeds – by 139.4 thousand hectares; fodder – by 127.5 thousand hectares, melons – by 19.6 thousand ha.
It should be noted that today in terms of spring grain sowing South Kazakhstan farmers are leaders, they made 49.8% of sowing. Kyzylorda farmers Followed them – 44.4% of the planned areas. The top three finishes Zhambyl region – 37.4% (43.2 thousand hectares of 115.4 thousand ha planned).
Also farmers in Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions are planting potatoes, vegetables and melons.
