Recently, the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” wrote about discontent and concern of the Kazakh farmers regarding the allocation of quotas, who want to purchase imported agricultural machinery this year. Our agency has not yet received a response to the official request.
And, on this occasion, at the international exhibition AgriTek Astana- 2014 our correspondent was able to talk about this topic to the executive secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Arman Evniev.
It should be noted that according to the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Kazakhstan, as a member of the Customs Union, in the current year may import under the quota three hundred units of machinery. The issue about the selection of candidates among buyers is still open. As for the distribution of these quotas between dealers of companies producing foreign harvesters, Arman Kayratovich did not give exact answer.
“The most correct approach is when the initiative should come from purchasers themselves. The rate of applications formation will play important role. All participants must coordinate their actions and quickly implement them”, explained he.
Time goes by, and farmers’ concerns grow. Many fear that they will know about the decision on the allocation of quotas only after registration of the contract with the dealer. And in case a farm household does not fall into these lucky 300 hundred, it will turn for it, to put it mildly, into unplanned expenses.
