In January in all categories of Zhambyl farms for slaughter was sold about 6.4 thousand tons of cattle and poultry in live weight, or 100% compared with the same period last year, according to the report of the regional statistics office.
According to statisticians, gross milk production increased by 0.1 thousand tons (by 0.8%) and amounted to 14.8 thousand tons. Egg production increased by 630 thousand pieces (by 10.4%) compared with the last year.
In January 2015, the average milk yield per cow of a dairy herd was 150 kg, the average yield of eggs – 10 pieces per hen.
As of February 1, compared with the same period last year, the number of cattle in the farms of the region increased by 2.5% (by 7.6 thousand heads), sheep and goats – by 1.8% (by 41.5 thousand heads), horses – by 6.8% (by 6.2 thousand heads), and the number of pigs decreased by 15.9% (by 5.5 thousand heads), birds – by 4.5% (by 50.1 thousand heads), the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” reported.
During this period, the region produced 10.5 thousand heads of calves, 67 thousand lambs and kids, 6.8 thousand piglets.
In the farms of the region in January 2015 were lost 12 heads of cattle (150% compared with the previous year), 81 – sheep (47.1%), 25 – horses (2.3 times).
The predominant part in production of the main types of livestock products accounts for private farms of the population, which produced 73% of meat, 85.8% of milk, 47.3% of eggs, according to the summary.
The volume of gross agricultural output in January 2015 in the region amounted to 5,476 billion tenge at current prices.
