Kazakhstan: The price of grain for a state reserve is declared. How the profit will be shared? At yesterday’s meeting, the Government addressed the issues of fulfillment of obligations of the agricultural producers owed to the JSC “NC “Food Corporation” on programs of spring-summer funding in 2012 and 2013 for purchase of grain from the harvest-2013 for state resources, including to the state resources of feed grain.
As previously informed the IA “Kazakh- Zerno”, following the consideration of these issues has been determined purchase price for wheat, purchased by the JSC “NC “Food Contract Corporation” for public resources: 28,000 tenge per ton – for VAT payers and 25,000 tenge per ton – for those who do not pay VAT.
“To form the commercial resources of the JSC “NC “Food Corporation” through grain supply for the program of spring-summer funding in 2012 and 2013 (under the guarantee of social and entrepreneurial corporations) have been supported the proposal to apply the purchase price, similar to prices determined for the purchase of wheat of 3 class to the state resources”, was stated in the message of the national company.
For agricultural producers who want to fulfill their obligations under the above mentioned funding programs through the supply of barley of 2 class, the purchase prices were determined at the level of prevailing market prices, namely 20 thousand tenge per ton for VAT payers and 17 thousand 857 tenge – for those who do not pay VAT.
Also at the meeting, the chairman of the Farmers Union of Kazakhstan A. Darinov offered to change the distribution of revenue from the activity of the United Grain Holding, embodied in the activity concept of EZH. According to him, the majority of small and medium-sized grain producers are for the distribution of income derived on the basis of joint activity as the difference between the purchase price and sale price for EZH grain.
Under the voiced proposals the Ministry of Agriculture, Holding “KazAgro”, JSC “NC “Food Corporation” and SFC were asked to jointly explore and take the necessary decisions to improve the effectiveness of the United Grain Holding.
