In January-October 2012, the gross output of agricultural products (services) in Aktobe region totaled 93,717.9 million tenge. Volume index (VI) of agricultural products (services) compared to January-October of the previous year was 92.8%.
The decrease in volumes was observed in plant growing mainly due to the decrease in grain production, said in the regional statistics office.
Thus, the main victim of the past agricultural season, according to the rating of IA “Kazakh-Zerno” was Aktobe region. Landowners in north-west of the country, in general, always were in end of the “tournament” table. And here they were “extremely lucky” – 96 thousand tons against 252.1 thousand tons last year. The lowest yields in the country – 3.2 q / ha, and 278.6 of the retired land from 578.7 sown area.
VI of livestock production increased and reached 101.8%. Meat production increased by 1.8%, milk – by 1.6%, eggs – by 3.9%.
