The participants of the grain market of Astana city, according to the data of the capital statisticians, as of August 1, 2013 had 26,475 tons of grain, including food – 26,475 tons.
The main food crops are wheat (98.9% of the total food grain), barley (0.8%) and corn (0.3%).
The greatest amount of grain for food (73.2%) is concentrated in the elevators of the city. On mills of the city for processing is available 6821 tons of wheat, 202 tons of barley and 77 tons of corn.
It should be noted, according to monitoring conducted by the correspondents of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno” at the end of July in the capital, wheat of 3 class could be purchased for 32,900 tenge per ton. First-rate flour in the capital was sold at 51,400 tenge per ton ($ 334.8), the top-grade – at 53,800 tenge per ton ($ 350.43). The second-rate of flour in the markets cost 47,800 tenge per ton ($ 311.35).
