Kazakhstan: There are 51,339 tons of food grains in the capital bins

According to the capital’s statisticians, participants of the grain market of Astana, as of April 1, had 51,339 tons of grain, of which for food purposes – 51,339 tons.

The main grain crop for food is wheat (94.7% of the total volume of food grain).

The biggest amount of grain for food (92.8%) is concentrated at the elevators of the city. At the local flour mills there are 3,449 tons of wheat, 85 tons of barley, 13 tons of corn and 20 tons of rye available for processing.

It should be noted, according to the monitoring conducted by the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, at the end of March in the capital of the republic wheat of 3 class can be purchased at 37,600 tenge per ton ($203). Flour of first-rate in the capital is sold at 62,700 tenge per ton ($338), extra class – at 65,100 tenge per ton ($351). Second-rate flour costs 59,700 tenge per ton ($322) in the markets.
