Kazakhstan to aid Kyrgyzstan in Customs Union entry

Новость на Казах-зерно:

Kazakhstan is ready to help Kyrgyzstan prepare necessary documents on accession to the Customs Union, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said in follow-up of the meeting with his Kyrgyz colleague.

According to the Head of State, in course of bilateral meetings the parties discussed Kyrgyzstan’s entry into the Customs Union and single economic space.

“Kazakhstan in every way supports Kyrgyzstan’s wish to join the Customs Union. Our experts will aid in process of preparation because Kyrgyzstan will have to adopt about 60 agreements, ratify them in Parliament. It will take a lot of time,” Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized.

In addition, President Nazarbayev noted that Kyrgyzstan needed to improve macroeconomic indicators and economy up to the level of the Customs Union member countries.

“We will render necessary assistance,” N. Nazarbayev concluded.
