Kazakhstan shipped 12 million tons of grain for export, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
“12.7 million tons of grain including flour in grain equivalent was shipped for export during the period from September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2012. This is 2.5 times more that during 2010-2011 marketing years,” the press service reads.
Thereat, 8.9 million tons of grain and 2.6 million tons of flour were exported.
Besides, 77.7 thousand tons of grain was shipped over the period from September 1 through September 10 this year.
It is worth noting that about 12 million tons of grain including 2.1 million tons of flour is planned to be exported during 2012-2013 marketing year.
