Today, the Russian media published a statement by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea (temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine) Andrei Ryumshin that the republic began supplying poultry meat to Kazakhstan.
According to the regional department, this year Crimea will supply about 500 tons of poultry meat to Kazakhstan.
The Committee of veterinary control and supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan did not confirm this information to the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, assuring that chicken meat was not imported from Crimea to Kazakhstan and will not be supplied later.
We recall, earlier our agency wrote, according to the Committee on Statistics, over the past 10 years poultry breeding in Kazakhstan has achieved significant results. The poultry population increased by 34.3%, from 29,506.8 thousand heads in 2007 to 39,619.5 thousand heads (as of May 1, 2017), or by more than 10 million heads.
