North Kazakhstan region leads in the number of pigs. Their percentage of the total number in the country at the beginning of 2013 is more than 21.2. This is indicated by the official data of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, wrote the correspondent of IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
As of January 1, in the region were registered 224.2 thousand pigs. At the beginning of last year, local breeders held 221.8 thousand heads.
Despite the high rate in North Kazakhstan region, there is a tendency to reduce the number of pigs in the country.
According to official information, at the beginning of 2012 breeders of Kazakhstan held in their backyards 147.6 thousand pigs more: 1 million 204.2 thousand – 2012, 1 million 56.6 thousand – in 2011.
