According to the regional agricultural department, local farmers replenished their herds to 28.3 million heads of cattle for the past year, wrote special correspondent of IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
We remind the largest amount of livestock during the last 2 years in the area was recorded in May 2011. At that moment North Kazakhstanian farmers had 486.6 thousand heads.
According to official data of the Republican Statistics Agency, in North-Kazakhstan region at the beginning of December, there were 264 thousand heads of cattle. In the corresponding period last year, local breeders had 245 thousand heads.
Despite the good result of purchased cattle, some say agricultural enterprises noted decline of cattle herd. The main reason for this, as they say in the office, is not full vaccination coverage of farms.
